This Privacy Policy explains how Porchlight (porchlight.house) collects, uses, and protects your information when you join the waitlist or use the service. By using Porchlight, you agree to the practices described below.

We collect the information you provide directly to us and the information needed to operate the service on your behalf. This includes:
- Name, so we can identify your account and address you correctly.
- Email address, for account access, service updates, and support.
- Phone number, so buyers and sellers can be connected through a dedicated Porchlight number.
- Property address, so we can provide market context and route inquiries for your listing.
- Communications routed through the platform, including the content of messages and texts sent between buyers and sellers using Porchlight.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to run the service and support the people who use it. Specifically, we use it for:
- Operating the service, including creating and maintaining your account and the features you rely on.
- Routing buyer communications to sellers, so that messages and texts reach the right party through your dedicated Porchlight number.
- Service emails, such as confirmations, security notices, and important updates about your account or listing.
We do not use your information for unrelated advertising, and we do not sell it.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers that make Porchlight work, and only to the extent needed to deliver the service. These include payment infrastructure and communications infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under contract.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Porchlight and the people who use it.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When information is no longer required for these purposes, we delete it or retain only what the law requires us to keep. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, as described below.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and you may request that we correct or delete it. To make a request, email us at hello@porchlight.house and we will respond within a reasonable period. You may also opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text.
